Copyright (DMCA) Policy

SKILLSET USA INC. ("SkillsetMind," "we," "us") respects the intellectual property of others and expects the educators and learners who use SkillsetMind to do the same. This policy explains how to report content on SkillsetMind that you believe infringes your copyright, and how the person who posted it can respond. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Send copyright notices to legal@skillsetmind.com. Our designated agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is in progress; until it is complete, notices sent to this address are handled under this policy.

Effective September 24, 2026

1. How to send a notice

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your written notice must include:

  • a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed or, if several works are covered by one notice, a representative list of them;
  • identification of the material you claim is infringing and that is to be removed or disabled, with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, such as the course URL and the lesson or post;
  • information reasonably sufficient for us to contact you, such as your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

We may not act on a notice that does not include these elements. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). If you are not sure whether material infringes your rights, consider consulting a lawyer before sending a notice.

2. What happens after a notice

When we receive a complete notice, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material, and we take reasonable steps to promptly notify the person who posted it. Where the material is part of a course, that person is the educator who published the course.

3. Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to legal@skillsetmind.com. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), it must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed or disabled;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which SkillsetMind may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or that person's agent.

When we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward a copy to the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringing activity.

4. Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances we terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also remove content, unpublish courses, or restrict accounts when infringement is reported, at our discretion.
