The SkillsetMind Creator Promise
These promises are contractual product rules for creators building on SkillsetMind: fee-locked, portable, cancellable, protected, and supported by humans when money is involved.

The commission rate of the plan you sign up on is the rate you keep for the next 24 months — even if SkillsetMind raises plan pricing later. If SkillsetMind ever needs to change it, you get 90 days notice and the right to export everything and leave with no friction.
What this means in practice
If a creator joins on Free at 10%, that creator does not wake up to a surprise commission increase after building a business here.

The selling engine is on every plan, Free included: publish courses, take checkout, drip content, run a community and live sessions, issue certificates, create unlimited coupons. Paid plans lower your commission and raise scale limits — students, video storage, featured slots, custom domains, team seats — and add branding controls like removing the SkillsetMind mark or putting your own logo on certificates. What upgrading never buys is permission to sell.
What this means in practice
A creator on Free runs a real business here. Upgrading buys a lower rate and more room, not the right to trade.

Your business is yours to take with you. Today you can download each course's student roster as a CSV from the studio. For everything else — courses, materials, sales history, community posts — request an export from your Account: we process verified requests within 30 days, or sooner where your privacy law requires it. A full self-serve export is on the roadmap. No calls. No retention attempts.
What this means in practice
SkillsetMind can host your business, but SkillsetMind does not own the business you built.

Request account deletion from your Account and we process verified requests within 30 days. Your existing students keep access for the time they paid for, but no new enrollments go through. SkillsetMind will not chain you in email loops, hide the way out, or pass you between agents.
What this means in practice
Leaving should be a simple request, not a negotiation.

Your buyers pay your Stripe account directly — SkillsetMind is never a middleman for your money and has no balance of yours to freeze. Chargebacks below 1.5% rolling 90 days will never auto-suspend your account; above that threshold, any review is done by a person, not a black box, and we aim to reply within 2 business days (Mon–Fri).
What this means in practice
Your sale lands in your own Stripe balance, not ours. There is no SkillsetMind clearing period to wait out — Stripe pays it out from that balance on your connected account's payout schedule, and may hold a new account's first payout until verification completes.

Financial questions — refunds, payouts, holds, chargebacks — go to a real person, by email. We aim to reply within 2 business days (Mon–Fri). No chatbot wall. No escalation maze.
What this means in practice
Money issues do not belong behind a bot maze.
These are not aspirations. They are the rules SkillsetMind holds itself to. The next page lists every change ever made to them, including the date and reason.
